1. About This Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Afissio LLC and Afissio Law LLC (together, "Afissio," "we," "us," or "our") use cookies and similar technologies on www.afissio.com (the "Site"), and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes more generally how we handle information collected through the Site.
2. What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit. Cookies allow a site to recognize your device, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used.
We also use technologies that work similarly to cookies, including:
- Local storage, which stores data in your browser rather than in a cookie file;
- Pixels and tags, small pieces of code that record that a page was loaded; and
- Software development kits and scripts used by the services embedded in the Site.
In this Policy, "cookies" refers to all of these technologies.
3. Why We Use Cookies
We use cookies to:
- Make the Site work — for example, to load pages correctly, keep the Site secure, and remember which cookie choices you have made;
- Remember your preferences, such as language or display settings; and
- Understand, in aggregate, how visitors find and use the Site, so we can improve it.
We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not sell information collected through cookies.
4. Categories of Cookies We Use
Strictly necessary cookies. These are required for the Site to function and to record your cookie choices. They cannot be switched off through the consent banner. Without them, parts of the Site will not work.
Preference cookies. These remember choices you make, such as display settings, so the Site behaves the way you expect on return visits.
Analytics cookies. These help us understand how the Site is used — which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and where traffic comes from. We use this information in aggregate to improve the Site. These cookies are set only if you allow them.

This list is maintained based on periodic scans of the Site and may change as the Site changes. The consent banner on the Site reflects the cookies currently in use at any given time.
5. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties that provide services on the Site rather than by Afissio. Those parties may collect information about your use of the Site and other sites, subject to their own privacy policies, which we do not control. Our current providers are identified in the table above and in our Privacy Policy.
If you follow a link from the Site to another website or platform, that site sets its own cookies and is governed by its own policies.
6. How to Control Cookies
Consent banner. When you first visit the Site, you will be presented with a cookie banner allowing you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your choices at any time by selecting [the cookie preferences link in the Site footer].
Browser settings. Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies through their settings menus. Instructions are available in the help documentation for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. Note that:
- Blocking all cookies may prevent parts of the Site from working correctly;
- Deleting cookies will also delete the record of your consent choices, so the banner will appear again on your next visit; and
- Cookie settings are specific to each browser and device, so you will need to set your preferences on each one you use.
Do Not Track. The Site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because no common standard for those signals has been adopted.
7. Governing Law
The Site is operated and maintained from California. This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, as further described in our Terms of Use.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as the Site changes or as the technologies we use change. We will revise the "Last Updated" date above when we do. Please check this page periodically.
